This happened a few days ago.

After telling the cab driver where i wanted to go, he asked, ”Going to meet your boyfren?”

I replied, ”No. I’m going to attend my fren’s birthday party.”

Then he complimented on my mini skirt and legs(oh ya, i’m using facial mask on my legs these days). I said thank you, and the following ten minutes was in a silence.

When I’m about to alight, he said, ”Sorry for being abrupt. I just want you to know that if you’re going to meet your bf, dun ever wear mini skirts.”  I’m like ‘huh’? And he continued, ”Men are funny creatures. If you wear skirts this short to meet them, they’ll think it’s some form of hint, and a chance for them to do something more. This kind of thing must wait till marriage, If you know what i mean.”

”Thanks for your concern, Uncle. I’ll take note of this.”

Paid my fare, alighted, smiling.

He was complimenting on my legs, and then advising me it’s not appropriate if i’m meeting my bf in skirts. What irony. So i can only show it off to strangers?

What bothers me is not what the uncle had said bout the bf wanting to do something more. Men will do more even when you’re wearing pants. Ok, that’s not the point.

Why are people prejudiced towards mini’s? I simply dun get it.

Let’s say we put two gals together. One’s wearing a super-long-cannot-even-see-her-feet skirt. The other’s wearing a super-short-can-see-her-undies-if she-bends skirt. Naturally, they’ll think the first must be a oh-so-innocent-virgin and the other is a lets-all-get-her-slut.

Why?

Learning Salsa and Latin dance from some of my frens now… All the turnin(and hopefully, tossing) is fun. =)  Should brush up on the eye contact and build suspense though.
